Emancipation

“Emancipation”, TV documentary series produced by Maziar Hashemi and directed by Mehdi Shamohammadi, is a dramatic narrative of important events that is originated in 1963 and leads to Islamic revolution of 1979 in Iran.

In this documentary we can see footages never been aired on IRIB and in interview parts we see faces like ayatollah Mohammad Yazdi (member of guardian council), ayatollah Masoodi Khomeini, Hojatoleslam Seyyed Hamid Roohani (One of Imam Khomeini’s companion in exile), ayatollah Gerami Ghomi and Hojatoleslam Rahimian.

Some parts of this documentary are reconstructed to picture the activities of intelligence service agents of Pahlavi regime.

Narrator of this TV series is Mohammadreza Alimardani.

This TV series is produced in seven 30 minute episodes on the demand of Social affairs of channel 1.
